The classroom lectures covered our mandatory paperwork and moved into introductions of all of the subjects being covered in our BOTC training. The second week started us with shiphandling, nautical terms, tides, charting, navigational aids and personal survival. Then, this week was our first tour aboard the training vessel T/V Kings Pointer along with line handling and knot tying.    The class gets its first tour of the T/V Kings Pointer from the Captain. Eating dinner in the Upper Deck dining area.   A brief lesson on mooring lines on the T/V Kings Pointer. The Chief Mate of the T/V Kings Pointer describes the machiney on-deck.
